The River Counties Association of REALTORS® (RCAR) and the Great Smoky Mountains Association of REALTORS® (GSMAR) are the newest associations to join Realtracs. RCAR went live in August, and GSMAR goes live today.

Together, they bring more than 1,700 real estate professionals and 98,000 listing records onto the platform.

In addition, both associations are becoming co-owners of Realtracs LLC. As a result, the number of association owners grows to eight. Meanwhile, RCAR and GSMAR will continue providing local association benefits to their members, such as education, advocacy, and community involvement.

What Brokers and Agents Get

Realtracs brings brokers and agents in these markets a few immediate advantages, including:

  • Modern technology designed, built, and supported by the Realtracs team.
  • A broader network of brokers and agents across the Realtracs footprint.
  • Stronger data protections through a new data licensing platform and agreements that safeguard broker listing data.
  • Ongoing improvements shaped by the people who use the platform every day.

Why They Made the Move

We asked leaders from both associations what drove their decision.

“As the real estate industry continues to evolve, our Board of Directors is committed to making decisions that best support our members,” said Angela Humberd, Association Executive of the River Counties Association of REALTORS®. “Partnering with Realtracs gives our members access to modern technology, greater listing exposure, and a stronger future. Just as importantly, our ownership ensures River Counties continues to have a voice in the MLS while building a long-term partnership focused on helping our agents succeed and better serve our communities.”

“We chose Realtracs because our members deserve access to a broader marketplace, giving their listings greater exposure and providing them with more data and opportunities to grow their businesses,” said Kathryn Lovell, CEO of the Great Smoky Mountains Association of REALTORS®. “For GSMAR, this was a forward-thinking, member-first decision about where our brokers and agents need to be for the future.”

What’s Next

Over the coming months, we’ll continue working closely with RCAR and GSMAR leadership. That way, the transition will be seamless for brokers and agents.

Finally, we value our relationships with neighboring associations and MLSs across Tennessee. We remain committed to cooperation that serves brokers and clients throughout the region.

To everyone in River Counties and the Great Smoky Mountains: welcome aboard!
